El Cerdo | Changkat Bukit Bintang, KL

finally, we have arrived at this porky heaven place.

THE PIG- in Spanish.

piglet. pig. piggies.

de El Cerdo bag hanger.
bring it home at RM10.

complimentary bread with minced pork dip.
to get things started.

Rose Berry Sangria.
I'm not really an alcohol person but I felt it has too much ice in it.

El Cerdo Sausage Platter.
a variety of homemade pork sausages served with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut- yummy!

Oven Roasted BBQ Glazed Ribs.
simply divine, and love it! - best eating with your hands =P

one of de signature dishes-
Roasted Piglet Spanish Style (whole piglet)   RM358+
de waitress started to introduce de dish when it was served. she invited two persons to perform de Spanish tradition- to chop de piglet using a plate and then break it. firstly, we were asked to knock de plate on de wooden board for three times before cutting it. by doing so, it simply means all de bad luck will be transferred to de plate (besides showing how tender crispy de piglet is and can be easily cut by using a blunt plate). after cutting de piglet, we were asked to break de plate in a wooden barrel to welcome good luck. by de way, I could hear de shattered sound of plates almost for every table.

side dishes added variety to de meal.
baked potatoes and fresh green salad with balsamic vinegar.

say goodbye to all de baddddd lucks.

taste wise, I would prefer de roasted pork we used to have as I found de piglet was a lil "over porky" in taste. however, de dish was indeed an eye-opening experience for us =)

Marinated Pork Shoulder Steak.
another yummy signature dish.

Mountain Paella.
a very colourful dish loaded with pork bacon, chicken, and fresh mushroom in a specialized shallow pan for cooking paellas (paellera). uniquely taste, but too bad I'm not really a person who favours "wet-rice".

family portrait at El Cerdo.

great day, great people, and great food. as a pork lover this place is definitely a place you would not want to miss =D
