Old Man Restaurant | Kajang (behind Kajang Wet Market)

don't get me wrong, this is definitely not de Old Man Restaurant in Bandar Baru Bangi that appears in your mind Ebbiko Fried Rice. yes, I'm talking about de original old man and not de one operated by his son. you will only find yummy lunch here as it is closed at night. with cooking experience of more than 50 years, this place is so great that it served food that mimics simple home cooked food.

Old Man's chopsticks.

Hotplate Tofu.
looking simple yet delicious. oh my de eggs.

Claypot Tofu.
served with mixed vegetables, black fungus, and small prawns. choose this homey pot if you opt for more gravy.

Steamed Egg with Fish Paste   老少平安
this was served based on special request. it deserves two thumbs up.

(clockwise)
#1 Pork Ribs King   排骨王
#2 Braised Yee Mee (Mun Yee Mee)
#3 Fish Maw in Cantonese style

Fish Head Meehoon Soup.
de meehoon soup was perfectly done and it was not too sour nor too milky. de thinly sliced bitter gourd, on de other hand, added refreshing taste into it. this is another good choice if you're sort of bored with rice.

Stir-fried Vegetables with Garlic.
some greens for a healthy diet.

with less flavour enhancer, it has now become my family's favourite neighbourhood restaurant whenever mom needs a break. maybe yours soon?
