Miam Miam | 1 Utama Shopping Centre

expanding to 1 Utama as a second outlet after Gurney Paragon, this place served Japanese-French style cuisine. in French, Miam Miam simply means "yum yum"- delicious food. as I understand this outlet in 1 Utama is no different from de one in Penang but it does not serve pork. from de outside we kinda have good impression because people are willing to queue regardless of how long de line is. you know queue effect just cannot go wrong but no longer applicable these days most of de time.

#1  Iced Matcha Latte with Softee   RM13.80
Japanese green tea prepared with milk and topped with soft matcha ice-cream sprinkled with some green tea powder. slightly pricey, but it wasn't too bad for a start.

#2  Miam Miam Spaghetti   RM26.80
for KL version, it lacks de bacon and is substituted with turkey ham. this Miam Miam's signature pasta was served with sautéed frankfurters, turkey ham, shimeiji mushrooms, baby spinach, eggplant, tomatoes, and completed with an onsen egg. tossing everything in a mixture of French butter, shoyu, and Miam Miam's secret broth, it was tasty at first but sadly it became unbearably salty towards de end. loving de baby spinach in their pasta, and maybe by choosing unseasoned ham or frankfurters will make things more palatable.

#3  Lobster Bisque Spaghetti   RM29.80
a rich tomato cream based pasta made of lobster, accompanied by a huge tiger prawn and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese (it is named "lobster bisque" not lobster so if you cannot see lobster they are not completely wrong either). however, de cream sauce didn't really incorporate well into de spaghetti, perhaps it wasn't thick enough. excluding de prawn, de only ingredients you can find in de pasta were tomato and mushroom cubes. prawn's freshness was acceptable.

lastly, just check your glass of water before you drink it. they only served us two glasses of water but not a bottle upon a second request when food was already served (maybe just for today- a day before Raya and near to 930pm). Parmesan cheese or breadcrumbs? it was totally unexpected.

maybe next round for dessert. but not during long queue, and definitely not at 930pm.
