if you have been following social media closely, you will know that this is another cafe that has recently gone viral among de public. business can be tremendously good because their cakes were sold out since yesterday. today, crowds began at 11am and it didn't wane until it was near 4pm.
bottom: Cappuccino - single shot RM7
in The Owls Cafe, by single shot it means a "smaller" cup size. not really a coffee expert here, but I did notice de foam has quickly collapsed into plain old milk after a few sips. a good coffee foam, I reckon, should be dense and smooth with lots of fine bubbles. it should be a silky layer to enjoy for its taste and texture on top of de pleasant coffee art. for those who need caffeine but dislike de bitterness of coffee, nutty latte may be a good choice.
The Morning Daisy RM18
it consisted of a soft fluffy croissant paired with scrambled eggs, greens with sesame dressing and waffle fries. croissant and scrambled egg were good but fries were hard and not crispy at all. do notice that de foam in my cappuccino has started to "bubble".
The W.E.O. RM16
a simple dish that has nothing to be remembered in precise. Morning Daisy definitely win hands down.
Rebecca RM18
topped with almond flakes, blueberries, slices of strawberry and banana, it also came with a scoop of Earl Grey ice-cream which gave de waffle a unique taste. for de Earl Grey ice-cream, you either like it or not like it. Rebecca has a boy friend called David specifically made for peanut lover.
The Queen RM21
"The Queen" waffle has 3 scoops of ice-cream: Lavender, Earl Grey and Chocolate ice-cream, a macaron which I thought mimic a tiara, and also a decorated strawberry. de teardrop shaped waffle that was light and fluffy has become everyone's favourite.
The Owls Cafe is just another ordinary cozy setting cafe in town. too bad their seats and choice of food are very limited. if only de portion of food can be bigger as de price they charged is not really justifiable based on de portion they served. they have owl display collections that look kinda adorable too. if you have a friend called David or Rebecca, will they remind you of waffle next time?
