Gogi King | Solaris Mont Kiara

for cheese and BBQ lover this is definitely one of de must-visit places when you passed by Mont Kiara.

there wasn't much variety for banchan and in fact they were mostly salad which lacked uniqueness. corn cheese (lower right picture) was one of de recommended dishes and true enough everyone liked it. our BBQ set comprised of pork belly, pork neck, and pork shoulder which came in small serving. what made them special is that they served cheese and egg on de grill ring. de egg will eventually turn into steamed egg-like texture ready to be consumed. however, de cheese tend to dry up too fast and I only ended up with a piece of cheese-dipped BBQ pork (like what?!). de pull-apart cheese with BBQ pork just didn't happen or maybe it was only at de very beginning. of course you can always request for extra cheese but additional charges apply. I personally think only de marinated pork was good but others were kinda tasteless and overcooked. anyway, I believe de cheese dip do made a difference if it didn't dry too fast. bear in mind this place is an open-air restaurant with poor ventilation system and if you're sitting in front of de grill you may expect oily face and smell.

de cheese was turning brown in de second round of pork.

Kimchi jigae ---recommended
de soup came with a bowl of white rice and it did not disappoint. you'll know if you compared it with de free beancurd (miso) soup!

Jajangmyeon ---recommended
another korean fetish: noodle in black bean sauce. de noodle texture mimics handmade ban-mee and de sauce was generally sweet in taste. for those who doesn't fancy spicy food this would be a great alternative. consider mixing it with fire noodles who knows it will end up becoming de best korean noodles.. haha.
