30th Birthday | Ruyi & Lyn, Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC)

just in case you're scratching your head over de directory looking for this place, it is hidden at de back of BSC's fourth floor, accessible via escalator (escalator near Dancing Fish on third floor). once you enter de place you get to walk on a red carpet. and here with de dazzling spotlight you'll shine like a superstar and no there is no other way.

we share almost de same name.

Ruyi's Sushi RM43 (from bottom to top): ---highly recommended
#1 Hainanese chicken rice
#2 Nasi lemak
#3 Mango sticky rice
served in a decent bundle of six, these wonderful Ruyi's Sushi are made of flavours comprised of Hainanese chicken rice, nasi lemak, and mango sticky rice. we love every Ruyi's signature piece as each distinctive recipe taste exactly like de real thing. my favourite is de Hainanese chicken rice -as you can see de chilli and ginger sauce toppings really gave it a spicy kick

from upper left and clockwise:
#1 Appetizer- pickled radish RM6
#2 Krabi Chicken RM38
#3 Chef's Ebiko Fried Rice RM43 ---recommended
appetizer is not complimentary and if you're not really into very sour stuffs I suggest you not to take it (sour grade 10). for Krabi Chicken we expect de sauce to taste like thai chilli but it turned out to be plum sauce (I think) and it was still good. Ebiko Fried Rice came with generous amount of seafood including shrimp, scallop, and crab meat and it was delicious. de rice can feed up to four.
Nemo RM88
this is actually steamed snow fish (cod fish) given de name of Nemo. it came in 3 thick pieces and each piece was probably half a size of my knuckle or slightly bigger lined with spinach.
Humpty Dumpty RM33
a catchy name but I would say this is quite a common dish in any Chinese restaurant -poached spinach in 3 different type of eggs. huge portion and can served up to four too. greens but not really healthy Chinese!
Cool Cinderella RM15 ---highly recommended
this is essentially pumpkin cream with vanilla ice-cream we randomly chose from de dessert menu. although food by Ruyi & Lyn mainly focused on Chinese/Chinese fusion cuisine, their desserts incorporated de western style. anyway, Cool Cinderella is definitely a yummy treat =)

happy birthday and happy valentine's day!
XOXO
