This is definitely a muted but meaningful celebration for New Year's Eve 2021. Sushi is always something that comes into our mind if we decide to treat ourselves a good meal. This is also the only way to transport our taste buds to Japan that we have missed so much for now.



Our arrival was greeted with fresh Wasabi, waiting to be grated over sharkskin.


Watching how Chef Ori prepared his perfectly crafted sushi is truly an eye-opening experience beyond the palate. Ever since our first Omakase experience, we have always wanted to sit near the chef. I might even turn down an Omakase invite if it is not at the counter seat (for paying the same price without getting the value) because it does make a lot of differences.


Chef Ori performs stunning feats with his amazing knife skill, carefully slicing and preparing the quality ingredients.


A beautiful piece consists of a sweet combination of Botan Ebi topped with creamy Uni. Definite love!



The course focuses mainly on nigiri sushi:

#3 Kanpachi - Yellow Tail
#4 Maguro Temaki - Tuna Handroll
#5 Otoro - Fatty Tuna Belly
#6 Japanese Tiger Prawn
#7 Uni - Sea Urchin
#8 Anago - Sea Eel

Service and quality of food is impeccable and we loved every bit of our dinner at Sushi Ori. Thanks for the memorable night :)
